About The Company

We design and deliver shading solutions for all commercial applications, using our experience across diverse market sectors and our extensive range of blinds, curtains and track systems. We select and manufacture products designed for the rigours of high frequency commercial use, which provides our clients with the reassurance of product quality and safety as our entire product portfolio adheres to the latest industry standards.

To meet the clinical requirements of the healthcare sector we supply a range of specialist and motorised blind systems including Integral, Blackout and Dimout blinds in a variety of blind types, as well as Roller, Venetian and Vertical blind systems all with the latest antimicrobial coatings and a selection of operation systems to choose from. All our Anti-Ligature products, Cubicle Curtains and Track systems are NHS Compliant and adhere to the necessary Infection Control regulations.

We are experienced at incorporating blind systems within secondary glazing to provide the ultimate solution to infection control. Delivering a variety of blind systems including Blackout, Roller and Venetian within sealed glazing contributes to maintaining sterile hygienic environments, which are a primary performance criteria for interiors within the healthcare sector. We have successfully completed and can undertake projects UK-wide from our base in Scotland.

Our Ethos

Teamwork is the key to achieving successful project solutions and the key to teamwork is collaboration. Our collaborative ethos depends on finding out what are clients really want and using our detailed knowledge of the industry to deliver it. The success of this depends on developing two sets of partnering relationships, one with clients and building users and the other with contractors, suppliers and manufacturers. By understanding both want clients want and what the industry can do we maximise value and minimise risk in the process.

We have built a strong reputation partnering with leading Architects and Contractors to develop a specification of the right products for a diverse range of client projects. We are proud to have partnered with award winning TODD Architects and Patton Construction on the new Belfast Metropolitan College Titanic Campus. One of the most significant building projects in Northern Ireland and a landmark education project providing 1400 full-time and 12,000 part-time places.

Our objective was to deliver shading solutions that provided functional and robust performance to a diverse range of interior spaces which included high-tech science labs, specialist catering suites, industry standard hair and beauty treatment salons, lecture theatres and classrooms. We delivered on time and to budget and the outcome has been a success.

We monitor our own performance as well as our supply chain, evaluating performance on the key indicators of cost, quality and delivery. This allows us both to learn from how we have performed in the past and make sure future projects deliver best value and continuous improvement.

Our approach to work builds in all sorts of opportunities for feedback from clients and suppliers alike. Many of these relationships develop over more than one project, so strengthening the possibilities for exchanging ideas, adapting best practice, and developing a process of continual improvement

We have developed robust partnering in our supply chain which enables us to ensure progressive development of our product ranges and project delivery capability. We have nurtured these long standing partnerships with the leading blind, track and fabric manufacturers to build an extensive repertoire of products and techniques which we use to unlock the skills and technology of the shading industry for our client’s benefit.

Industry Compliance

Quality is our focus; every product is inspected to ensure maximum production consistency and product reliability. Regular review of our entire product range allows us to ensure we are specifying products which achieve the highest standards in quality, durability and functionality.

Our approach to quality is proactive rather than reactive and is based on continuous improvement and performance. Our operational approach and ethos is based on the philosophy and practice of ‘right first time, every time’. We strive for zero defect performance.

Our Quality Management System is an integral part of our projects and is implemented through a comprehensive set of procedures and controls documented in accordance with ISO 9001. A tailor made Project Quality Plan and strategy is formulated and prepared for all our projects.

We deliver customer service and satisfaction through ongoing reviews, monitoring and dialogue. Our business processes are reviewed to evaluate performance and identify future improvements. Our Quality Management and Environmental systems are regularly audited according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards and independently assessed annually.

Our supply chain partners are selected on the basis of their experience and understanding of the project quality requirements and client expectations. Supply chain management procedures include performance management KPIs and these are monitored and reported on to address any areas of poor performance.

Health and Safety is of paramount importance to us and by using the procedures established in our 3rd party management systems, CHAS and Safe-T-Cert which form part of SSIP Safety Systems in Procurement, our certification is realised.

At the beginning of each project we undertake Risk Assessments and directed by our findings produce Method Statements. We have access to excellent oversight on the Safe Systems of Work procedures as our Health and Safety advisor is a SHEQ qualified professional.

Our internal and external working teams are fully trained in the equipment and products they use and hold all the relevant Health & Safety qualifications. We have had zero RIDDOR accidents in the last five years and are proud of this excellent accident free benchmark. We are members of the British Safety Council, which ensures that we have access to the latest developments in Health and Safety.
